The “Electronic and Mobile Health and Smart Cities” workshop Proceedings were published as part of the 20th International Multiconference INFORMATION SOCIETY – IS 2017.

The Information Society Multiconference (, held for 20 consecutive years, is the central event in the field of information society, computer science and informatics.
At the conference EkoSmart organized a third workshop on “e&m-health” (electronic and mobile healthcare, EMH for short), presenting the research and development results,  i.e. a proposal for the implementation of infrastructure and the introduction of the use of informatics- and mobile-supported integrated health care to improve preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic treatment of citizens, which would reduce costs while also increase the availability of health care in the period of 2016-2020.
EMH consists of 5 work packages (WPs) run by UMCL, JSI, UM FEECS and UL FCIS:
• Information technologies to support integrated care / hospitals / Prof. Z. Pirtošek
• Home support for healthy, elderly and chronically ill patients / home / Prof. M. Gams
• Mobile monitoring of vital and environmental data / mobile / Dr. R. Trobec
• Computer support, data, creation of new knowledge / algorithms / Prof. P. Kokol
• ICT platform / Prof. M. Bajec
The partners presented the research and development work carried out within the EkoSmart program and contributed ideas for further work and ways of integration.
