Final public presentation of the EkoSmart program
The EkoSmart program is already in its final phase, as it ends on July 31, 2019. The EkoSmart Program partners have achieved many planned results, which is the accomplishment of the 25 partners’ joint activities to attain set program goals and prototyping, especially the comprehensive integration platform for smart cities and communities.
The general public was presented with the results of the program and the synergy between partners at the closing public event of the EkoSmart program, which took place on Thursday, May 24, 2019, at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science (FCIS).
After the welcome address (Aleš Smokvina, representative of the leading partner Marand doo), the INTEGRATION PLATFORM was presented at the workshop (Dr. Marko Bajec, UL, FCIS, Maja Pušnik UM, FEECS, and Sandi Gec, UL, FCIS, RDP1) and the Blockchain in the EkoSmart platform for supporting various services and chains (Dr. Matevž Pustišek, UL, FEE, RDP6). The results of the RDP2 – SMART MOBILITY (Boris Šajnovič, Iskra, head of RDP2) were presented along with the simulation of optimization algorithms (Sandi Gec, FCIS) and results of RDP5 – INTEGRATED HEALTH SERVICES (Bojan Jurca, TS, head of RDP5). Also part of the RDP5 is the Telemedicine medical treatment, presented by Dominica Oroszy (UMC, LJ).
The coffee break was followed by a presentation of the results of RDP4 – ELECTRONIC AND MOBILE HEALTH (Prof. dr. Matjaž Gams, JSI, head of RDP4). Individual developed prototypes were presented in detail by dr. Aleš Tavčar, JSI. Finally, a presentation of the results of RDP3 – ACTIVE LIFE AND WELLBEING (Franjo Pustoslemšek, RC IKTS, head of RDP3) was held, introducing the prototype My Family.
This was followed by a summary of the workshop and a conclusion by Aleš Smokvina, representative of the leading partner of the EkoSmart program. The workshop was well attended and it achieved its purpose – getting acquainted with the results of the EkoSmart program.
